So you want to build your own loco and you need detailed instructions. These are being prepared for a series of narrow gauge locos to a scale of 16mm to 1'.
The first manual is for the Andrew Barclay Class E, a compact 0-4-0 industrial loco used extensively in the early part of the 20th century with some still in service today.
We hope to be able to make this manual available by the end of this year.
Meanwhile, here are some photos of a loco of a war department Baldwin under construction.
Frames are marked out and
This is the frame in finished condition. All the remaining waste has been removed.
The frame has now been shaped and the front and rear brackets have been fitted.
More photos and details will be added regularly as the construction progresses. Construction of this loco will be the subject of the next volume. If you wish to copy these pictures from the site please feel free to do so.
If you would like to be kept up to date with details of how the book is progressing and when we post new information here, please send us an email.
